A formal staff appraisal system can be one that concentrates on ranking the staff in your organisation, giving a pat on the head to your best people and inevitably demoralising everyone else. Or it could be one that identifies what each employee needs to do to improve and helps them to achieve their goals. Most staff appraisal systems fit the first category. We think they should be more like the second.
We can help you to devise objective and fair appraisal systems. And we can train your managers not only to run those systems but also to use them to identify talented individuals within your organisation. These talented individuals are the people you should be considering next time you have a key vacancy. And they are also the people who will benefit the most from training, coaching and mentoring.
